How would you convince an anime "non-fan" to get to like anime?

I don't know. I think you should make the person watch your favourite one

depends on the person's profile.. so far, FullMetal Alchemist(FMA) has worked and I have successfully converted around 5 persons.

I try to present it as being something not for 'kids' and give a general idea about what the story is about..

FMA can be funny, is deep, has a lot of philosophical implications, attaching characters and a really good story line in my opinion..

the same persons tried naruto, bleach, trigun.. and kinda enjoyed .. but FMA remained their fav . they are regular anime watchers now..

I don't really watch anime anymore

show him FMA, Ouran Host Club, Midori No Hibi - my favs.
If these don't work, then I'll get a baton and beat the crap out of him what? who can not like the above three?!

Ouran will always work xD so will FMA even if I haven't still watched the ending ^.^ and it all depends on his tastes. Naruto and Bleach will work on some (not all, like me xD) and some shoujo on others =P Still... Ouran will ALWAYS work.

Mone travay ène bon bout létemps dans ène librairie spécialisé en BD ek manga. Ena diférent manier converti dimoune à banne manga parski couma John ine dire, personalité compte pou boucou. Dimoune déstabilizé par banne paz à l'envers ek zimaze en noir & blanc.

En premier bizin donc donne dimoune ène manga fascinant, pa déstabilisan ek pad long oussi. Parski si to dire li li bizin lire 65 volumes One Piece, li pou abandonné tt de suite. Donc le meilleur ouvrage pour ène non-fan, selon mo l'expérience, c'est premier Tome Quartier Lointain (harukana machi he) par Jiro Taniguchi.

Après kan bizin met dimoune là in pé plis dans l'univers manga: Naoki Urasawa avec so extraordinaire MONSTER!

only discovered that manga (monster) recently and am addicted already (mais je suis un public tres facile la aussi donc... xD)

enfin personellement mone converti mo banne camarade ek anime naruto (a l'epoque ou c'etait pas encore une serie "titanesque" avec +200 episodes ) et la transition vers le manga s'est fait assez naturellement Mais bon le shonen marchera pas pour tout le monde.

par contre mo d'accord ki confrontation direct ek manga kapav deroutant pour les raisons mentionées (noir & blanc + pages à l'envers (quoique maintenant j'ai du mal a lire les bds "occidentales", reflexe lire "a l'envers" la ine vinne naturel ))

Kyu, la France ène pays ki consomme boucou mangas, li même dézième pays après Japon. Mo pa ti coné kan mone vine ici mé li assé sirprenant de voir ki en France dimoune mette boucou cass pou aseter bane bd ou bane manga ek ça indépendant de l'age.
