Banner for the MBB Forum

Hello one and all. We are still putting things together for the forum and things are going smoothly. Actually we are needing a banner for the forum. The actual banner being the "phpBB" sign on the top left corner.

Here is the actual banner :

Well, we know we have lots of talented photoshopers around here. So those wanting to submit a banner they made, send me a pm containing the link to the picture. We will have a thread with all the banners and a poll will be available. The deadline for submission will depend on you. We are aiming to have the poll on Tuesday 16/10/2007, but if you wish to have more time just reply here to let us know.

Might give you a help with that, but we need the specifications for the banner..

Like size, background colour, text to put on it, any theme you want.. things like that!

It's actually a logo we are looking for, so it will have to be quite small, like the previous one which was 139 x 52 pixels in size. The text will have to be pretty simple: MBB forum and the theme and color depends on you.

Would give it a try and post my results here. My trial will be based on the purple background of the actual header..

I'm not totally happy. I'm removing the white line found at the top of the banner. It makes it poke out in the purple header. BRB while I do it.

Yeah... gr8 work!

Although the reflection still gives a hint of a line... It would be too good if the reflection could be applied over the whole banner length..

This can be done.. but you see Carrot, the header uses a small graphic which is stretched for the whole length..



Which makes it difficult to do a reflection for it..

Yeah, it's difficult, but here it is:



If you repeat it, u'll get a reflection that will unfortunately appear behind the text and the logo.

Adobe Photoshop CS 3 is by far the best graphics app..
