Pierced eyeglasses

James Sooy has developed a new pair of eyeglasses that mounts into the bridge of your nose, via piercing.

Dubbed, "Pierced Glasses", they offer people who are already cool about body piercings with a practical use for their love of body art.

He's working on bringing it to the consumer market. Read an interview with Sooy.

You think pierced glasses are are too extreme? James perhaps summed it best...

"Paying ... to have someone cut your eyes and shoot a laser in them (just so you don't have to wear glasses) seems extreme to me..."

i would not be able to "wear" that!! what if i want to remove my glasses? lol!

It's dangerous. Say you're punched in the face or hit by an object right in the face - instead of having the glasses thrown away, the piercing thingies may rip off your skin and even go right into the eyes.

I prefer conventional glasses or contact lenses are better alternatives if you don't want to wear glasses.

i don't see myself having the bridge of my nose pierced. how will i go to work with that? lol 2

it is a form of piercing after all

perhaps it could be convenient. and as the article said, it's mainly for body art lovers. i know lots of people here who would be delighted to have that lol!
