Am Ritesh from Mauritius and live at TRIOLET....AM asking to help me Improve my BLOG,
My Blog is about Mauritius and to Promote it in the world for Tourists, Business and for my
Mauritian Friends, Brothers and Sisters who live in other countries for studing and working!!

So if any problem or any TIPS for me to Improve this Blog you are Welcome and you can
help me make this blog popular in the World....

If any member have Photos or Videos abour Mauritius they acn send it on my Email address,
I can post it on my blog and give the credit to the person who have send me the Photos

hi ritesh. welcome to MBB. first of all i think most of your blogging questions have been answered in other threads.

if you want your blog to become popular invest a lot on it, in terms of your time devoted to write each post and if possible get a domain name.

also don't rely on other people for the photos. because if you started a blog on mru you must have had enough material to write on the country. try to make your own photos as much as possible.

try to improve the template a bit to suit the purpose of your blog.

submit your blog to relevant sites like mybloglog and blogcatalog (international) and to the MBB of course for local readership. your participation on relevant forums and blogs might also help.

also link and get linked to relevant sites. update your link to servihoo.com this is obsolete now

Hello,...i will try to Put some Photos on Local Flower of Mauritius,...But that Problem is that I Don't Know Their Real Name,...no problem, you can view it that the main Idea!!

try to ask morinn, the local florist about that

the blog should cover:
1. events (popular)
2. news
3. cultural festivals (and stuff like mauritian recipes)
4. history of the island
5. a gallery (pix + vids)
6. list of online services in MRU
7. list of application forms for basic services
8. a fun zone (swf games and stuff should have a mauritian theme)
9. a student zone (incl. board of forums (not forum - it's a board of forums )
10. interviews of registered members of the blog

+ it should have a mauritian theme + its own domain (not sub) + few adverts like adsense (these make things ugly)

you should also NOT be afraid to post bad stuff about the country as well - play with words and promote harmony. there are always 2 sides of a coin.

great advices from nash and fadil. i will just add that do not expect a sudden gain in popularity. keep posting and improving. in the longrun things will come out great. if you are really serious about your blog you will succeed.
i think the template needs to be more colourful to give it a little mauritian touch. i always advise to take a look at http://themediaguru.blogspot.com for the color scheme

we did not point out anything negative. it was just suggestions from our part about some things which needed a little improvement.

yeah for the template you'll have to do something...good luck for your blog...and for the photos, its better to do it yourself, c'est plus comment dire euhh valorisant and like this you will know the places you are talking about...

ene zafaire manquee - bizin plus beaucoup filles lor to blog. girl power brings people to post and girls kinda bring a charm to blogging. try having a female co-author working with you on the entries.

1. Your poll options are stupid. Asking people to choose between "very very good", "very good", "good" and "not bad" is not really an intelligent survey. And since the poll is closed you might as well take it down.

2. In your posts you use caps lock at random, sometimes in the middle of sentences, this gives the impression that the post has been written by a kid.

don't do that. post on intesting places in mauritius. and as Fadil suggested, try to get a girl co-author to contribute to your blog. I mean WRITE in your blog and not for photos

I think the banner needs to be resized and you might consider changing the sub-domain to something which will suit the theme of your blog. like for example mauritius-island.blogspot or something like that

I would never be interested in a blog with 'techdesign' sub-domain and talking of tourism.

One does not need spectacles to see how oversized the banner is.

And try to put a tropical theme on the blog.

ritesh your blog is a nice idea but it needs changes as people above have mentioned. good luck with it.
