The ban of facebook by mauritian isps

What did you think of it? I mean about the ban and about the persons who triggered all this ( the facebook users who were usurping other people's identity).

As i've already said it... it's quite worrying that a whole site should be banned for something as trivial as removing a profile...

However i strongly condemn impersonation and defamation as the person targeted could be anyone. Whoever did it should be severely punished!!
Imagine 2mrw u find a fake profile of urself on Facebook!!

I'm particularly disgusted by the way the ICTA & the ISPs reacted... Although they do have the authority to ban access to a site, it really shouldn't be done in a true democracy!
(but then we r in Mauritius...)

Facebook li serier koz mone meet banes cams ek (ex-gfs! ) lor sa ki mo pa ti zoine ine gagne pres 5 ans. Mais pour les rencontres mo prefere ale dan pub ek boite.

Pour ban la, Mr. Navin ti ena raison mais li ti kav zis delete profile la sans fer ban facebook. Net send 1 mail admin, tou rente dan lorde. Akoz sa ban la, aster zot tou ine gagne li kont. Fos group la ine gagne plus popularite. Ti kav pren sa zis pu 1 zafer harmless mais le fait ki Mr. Navin ine pren sa serier prouV ki "nous ti siposer pren sa au serieu nou oci".

Btw I really think that people should not take social sites like facebook, hi5 seriously. The proof normal adults made a girl commit suicide through myspace.

Those parents must be really sick to do that. How can you think of hurting a child like that!

Actually they did not meant to hurt her or anything like that. They just wanted to know what this girl was talking about their daughter. They did not realise that this girl was emotionally unstable.
