Just wanna inform everyone that some Mauritian Bloggers have come up with the idea of forming a Mauritian Bloggers Society... (definitely not competing with MBB) but rather it's a "real" society instead of a virtual one. Smile

MAURITIAN BLOGGERS SOCIETY NEWS PANEL

Welcome to the official website of the Mauritian Bloggers Society. MBS aim is to unite all mauritian bloggers on one platform and promote mauritian blogs on both international and local level. To become a member simply send us an email about you and your blog and our team will add you in our members list. The website of MBS is still under testing and we are using a free domain name of co.cc during the test. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. MBS is still a project that we are still discussing about. We are to meet very soon..to discuss about the rules and other details. We are planning to register the society officially after we have done our small brainstorming session.

We got many comments and I would like to point out some very important points about MBS.

1. MBS is NOT the MBB or the Mauritian Blog Tracker(MBT)! We appreciate the work of those two site but MBS is to be the future real bloggers society. A real registered society.
2. We are still doing small brainstorming sessions about our next steps and would like any suggestions. Feel free to email any suggestions here. I will publish the suggestions here in the News Panel itself for all members and founder members to read.
3. We are different from MBB and MBT in the way that our aim is not to publish all the articles of other blogs on our website. Our aim is to create a real blogger society where we will meet and organise events. This website of the MBS consist of two main parts. This is the News Panel which you are reading right now is where we publish important announcements. We also update the site daily with a random 3 articles from ANY of our members blogs.
4. We are soon going to add a voting system for all blogs in the network.
5. The website address of MBS is still on test. We are using this address while we buy our original address which will be mauritianbloggers.com.
6. This website is hosted for free by our partner and sponsor Maurihost.
7. One last thing...I (webmaster) may have miss some founder members names in the founder members section. I didn't put it as I don't know your blog address. I am waiting for Yashvin to send me the full list of members and founder members.

I sincerely thought that was where the MBB was headed, but lately, everything's going dead as the dodo...
P.S. Someone plz plz contact the founding members of the MBB (fondatrice i.e.) & tell them about this. They need to get in!

oh, was that how it was perceived? mind you, i don't want to become a founder. i'm not ok with a closed system who bothers about a name rather than the charter of rules. heck, whatever you posted above is kinda useless without knowing the charter or @ least have a framework. and more importantly, i look forward for major brainstorming.

carrot, fondatrice missing in action. you'll have to take the helm and lead us.

am sorry mais mo trouve sa ene copier coller mbb ek mauritian tracker mo daccord zot p rod faire ene 'society' tout sa mais mbb aussi ti p envie faire ene mbbcq ( pa conner sipa zot rapel) aster mo pena nanier contre sa 'nouvo' idea la... bonne continuation...

et si mbb p dodo couma zot p dire...mo penser ki arrive ene moment bane forum de ce genre tomb sec en particulier si bane administrateur la pa la ek pa bring bane nouveautés...membres tou sel pa capav mene ene forum a bien...aster couma mo p dire mo pena nanier contre sa to meme to ti dir ki ena mbb ki ti pu bon ki zot tou integrate ene sel place...mais voilà ^^. c'est juste ene avis.

I think we can all join in there. And as far as who will represent MBB, I think that everyone of us is part of the MBB. MBB is not a person, MBB is us together. So we will all be The MBB and we will represent ourselves during the meetings.

What do you say?

if we are to represent mbb in another society, does it not mean that we are segregating ourselves already, causing a divide/fracture?

c ki mo trouve drole c ki bane la bizin justifier zot pu dir ki zot pas couma mbb ni couma MBT c ki mo pas compran c ki kifer zot bizin justifier zot...moi couma mo p dir li zis ene copier-coller sa deux communauté ki deja exister...aster si MBT ek MBB everyone p coumance disappear...c ki ti ena ene faille...et vu ki li clairement ene copier-coller ( pu moi, aster chacun pense c ki zot envie) sa 'society' la li aussi li vouer a 'lechec'... c ki ine faire moi vine membre mbb c ki ici zot accept everyone, personne pas juge personne ki to ena ene blog moricien en anglais ou pas, tou ler temps bane membre mbb ti ena sa respect ek sa tolerance ki bizin envers lezot membre... par contre ek sa nouvo 'society' la c pa limpression ki mo gagner....bref zis ene ti avis ki mo p partager donc mo pa trouve moi p join , de toute façon li pa faire oken difference :lala:bane communautés ki rod fer croire ki zot but pas pareil couman ene lot communauté existant pas interesse moi...

Actually, I don't know what exactly is the aim of the ~~society~~, now it's Mauritian Bloggers Network! jocolor

& there's no need to segregate/represent the MBB, coz everyone can have his own say. Smile

I dunno whether this will be successful or not... depends on the commitment by the members, although many bloggers, being anon, will think twice before joining any society. study

we'll require a charter of rules. without it and without knowing the structure of the society/club/network, it's difficult to join esp. since these folks want this thing to be in real life.

Enfin, comié société to pou monté? To kapav fer 10, 15, 100 société/network/ce ki to lé ar ban blogger moricien mé selment li bizin éna ène itilité. Promouvoir blogging li ène zafer mé met dimoune ensam dan 1 group pou pa fer narien...

I just wish to precise that MBB's aim is not to publish all the articles of other blogs on our site. The founders of MBS or MBN clearly did not know about this. Very Happy
