Theorically everyone has the right to say what they want and to give their opinion on their respective blogs but things tend to get complicated when the persons whom you are talking about know that you are talking about them.

I think that's what drove people to have some strong reactions regarding your "negative reviews". You honestly can't blame them. Even if the persons you talk about on your blog strongly believe in freedom of expression, the human in them would not be able to tolerate such harsh criticisms.

And I forgot to add, what you write can hold some truths but it is obvious that if you tell me I have horrible eyes when I truly have horrible eyes, I will very difficultly accept this criticism as being true.

If you want to keep on doing your negative reviews, it is up to you but be prepared to hear the protests of other people and know that there will be very few who will like what you do but in all this, I must say that I admire your courage to voice out your inner opinions.

ante, o fait moi mo ti penser to bne reviews pou plito comik. mai dernier ki mone lir la imper violent dan 1 certaine fasson. hmm, mo firmly believe dan freedom of expression personellement mai mo bizin dir ki mo pren imper critik tres mal, notamment to bne critik. enfin sorry, pa pren li mal, pa zis toi to bne critik ki mo pren mal!

I would just like to add something, since we are talking about reviews, that ante is quite wrong when he speaks of mbb as being a "diplomatic clan". It is not that we are being diplomatic on purpose and not pointing out flaws. We did point out some flaws of certain blogs in our reviews and we gave advices, like suggestions to improve the content, the layout etc. and you must understand that the purpose of the brethren is to encourage Mauritian bloggers. We cannot let our emotions come in the way of giving an objective review. If MBB reviewers started pointing out subjective flaws on blogs we would do nothing but create a huge chaos. But if you call it diplomacy, so be it then I call it objectivity.

I don't know if you have ever noticed but most Mauritian bloggers are within the 15-25 age group. That's where I am found too, unlike the other people at MBB. They needed the opinion of a young audience and I am very opiniated! So that explains it. I do not do complete reviews rest assured, it's a team work of 2.

Everyone has the freedom of expressing their views... but if u r criticizing, no one likes that...

Negative reviews of blogs are good but only if u can suggest a solution to those negative points.
I agree that no one is perfect, but pointing out only the defects is not good.
