The future of blogging in Mauritius

wai b mo kestion c, eski zot penser ki blogging ena lavenir a moris? genre eski nu bne bloggers nu pou vine assez powerful pou nu kav denonce bne zafr ek amene bne changement avk nu blog?

Zot dza coner ki bne lezot bloggers zot earn avk zot blog, (a moris je sais pa si ena). ena gagne ziska 10 k $ par mois. sa c bne super populair la. disons si nu pa koz largent, what about nu media power?

ena 1 truc a considerer selmen, c ki a moris nune coumence blogger relativement tard alor ki lezot pays ena p blogger dpi 10 ans!

enfin mo ti envi cone zot lopinion!

Hmmm media power. mo penser li ti pu possib si ti ena buku readers. Acoz en ce moment si nu ecrir kitsoz, c juste nu ban cam proche ki lire. Nu pna sa "laudience" ki n journal ena la.

Being recognized as part of the media is not an easy thing, specially for Mauritian bloggers.

The Mauritius Blog Tracker has been doing a great job so far in tracking mauritian blogs and now we hope that MBB will bring a significant contribution in encouraging blogging in Mauritius.

It will surely be great if one day we see companies or private firms paying bloggers to advertise for them or promote their products.

But we must agree that their is a long way before we reach thus far.

Yeah, blogging has just made its first steps into the Mauritian culture... & we are still a long way from the day where Mauritian bloggers will have a real impact as part of the media.


I think the real problem is that not everyone has access to broadband... which is one of the basic necessities for a good blogger!
I started blogging on dial-up btw, - & had to do pay all those excess hours!

As for earning, there are loads of opportunities out there such as Adsense, unfortunately no one is anywhere near making $10k per month!!! ;( (I get around $ 0.30 per day on Adsense)
& very few Mauritian companies are willing to advertise on your blog. & even if they do, their rates are ridiculous compared to foreign companies.
& since Paypal doesn't allow Mauritians to receive payments, it's useless to do sponsored posts. I remember i did a sponsored post for $4... but i never got the payment!!

pourtan ena 1 ta bloggers ki ena talents ek blogging ki mari cost-effective dan le sens ki pa gagne pou pou paye printing etc com dan cas la press. ek franchement mo dir, souven ena bne bloggers zot pli talented ki bne journalistes ki ena la. (c pa ki mo p critik bne journalists)

Hmmmm.... we have a long way to go... kuma jevin in dir, nu pna sa l'audience ki ene journal ena la... La plupart dimun asT journal, mais pa tou dimun ki pu decide lir ene article online. Bein si The MBB ressi regroup TOUT bane blogs, kav lerla nou pou gagne plis poid along with MauritiusBlogTracker... Dimoune pou koner lerla kot sa li pou gagne bane blogs moriciens ek pou koner ki zot p penser...

Mais regroup zot tou la, sa quasiment impossible sa... akoz ena ene tas ki servi bane truc stupid like MSN Space tou sa... ki vraiment restricted lor zot target audience... Ek pa zot tou ki envi regrouper, ena prefere zot independance! lol...

Alor, nu kav aim maximum number of blogs regrouped mm si pa tout MBB, p rely lor zt la

Ouais, ek ena aussi bcp morisiens ki prefer exprime zot a travers Hi5, Facebook, MySpace, etc... Bizin encourage zot ouvert zot propre blogs...
En effet, population bloggers dans moris li capav bien plis grand ki nou pensé... but how to regroup all of them??

the problem we encounter @ MBB is that people are really keen to become a member and get their blog reviewed but they overlook the participation in other blogs part. They are just "concerned" with matters related to them. It is very difficult to change that attitude and we cannot force members to participate. It is all a matter of good will.

M truv la plupart bane members la participate moi....

moi si mo trouver ena bukou membres ki bien actifs! ek bne lezot ki pa actif la b mo penser kav zot ena bne restraint genre pena acces 24/24 lor net etc...

mai li ti pou kan mem bon ki zot try find a little time bne seki connecter touletemps la ek visit bne lezot members ek vice versa!

Li pa pren plis ki 15 min pu visit tou sa. Zis ene tigit volonT

Euh... ena fois zis lor to blog prend 15 mins ein! Telement to anglais la bon, bisin rode dictionaire!!!

Sometimes when people write poems difficult words come more quickly and fit more rightly than simpler ones.
